On March 20th an amendment to the law relating to maternity leave passed its first reading in the Knesset. The amendment, which IWN has been working on for 5 years, increases maternity leave from 12 to 14 weeks. MK Gideon Sahar led the amendment through the legislative process and the first reading was supported by 70 members!
