Under Israeli laws:
You cannot be dismissed from your job while you are pregnant (if you have worked for the same employer or in the same workplace for at least 6 consecutive months) -- unless your employer gets a permit from the Ministry of Labor and Welfare after proving that the dismissal is not connected with the pregnancy.
Your employer cannot reduce the scope of your position at work in a way that reduces your income while you are pregnant (if you have worked for the same employer or in the same workplace for at least 6 consecutive months) -- unless your employer gets a permit from the Ministry of Labor and Welfare after proving that the reduction is not connected with the pregnancy.
You may be absent from work, without any reduction in your salary, for medical exams related to your pregnancy (up to a specified number of hours based on the extent of your employment
You may start your maternity leave up to six weeks before the expected date of giving birth.
Your employer cannot dismiss you during the 14 weeks maternity leave, or during the first 60 days after you return to work after maternity leave (including if you take certain extended leave, paid or unpaid).
Under certain circumstances, a man may take up to six weeks parental leave after his child is born, and receive National Insurance parental leave payments.
You may not be dismissed from work while you are absent to undergo fertility treatments for a first or second child, or during 150 days after the treatments -- unless your employer gets a permit from the Ministry of Labor and Welfare after proving that the dismissal is not connected with these absences.
